On Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Tygart Valley Chapter Organizational Dinner, Karl Mulac was appointed as an “Associate” of the Tygart Valley Chapter.
Karl Mulac is a local historian, accomplished musician, re-enactor and founder of the Randolph Enterprise Project in Beverly, WV.
Karl’s ancestors were recent emigrants to this country, which renders him ineligible for regular membership in the SAR since he cannot trace his ancestry to a patriot ancestor of the Revolutionary War. However, Karl’s dedication to the ideals and goals of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution in general and to the Tygart Valley Chapter in particular, well recommends him to being appointed an “Associate” of the Tygart Valley Chapter.
The NSSAR gives approval for Chapter and State Society “Associates” and is listed on Page 4 – Associates – of the NSSAR Official Handbook, Volume III: Membership, Compliance & Other Policies.
Karl Mulac is the first known “Associate” of the West Virginia Society or its subordinate chapters. The Tygart Valley Chapter is proud to have Karl Mulac as an “Associate” of our chapter.
